The South Topsail Preserve Stewardship Program
In Partnership with the NC Coastal Land Trust.
The South Topsail Stewards Program is a community-led initiative developed by the North Carolina Coastal Land Trust in partnership with Conserve The Point to protect and care for The Point, a natural and ecologically important area at the southern tip of Topsail Island. Join our core volunteer effort at The South Topsail Preserve by participating in seasonal conservation workdays, wildlife monitoring, and educational beach walks. Perfect for those looking to connect with nature and make a direct impact.

Additional Opportunities with Conserve The Point
Volunteer at a Community Event
Help out at local events, beach cleanups, or educational gatherings. Tasks might include setting up tables, welcoming attendees, or sharing information about conservation efforts.
Contribute a Blog or Social Media Post
Share your experience, photos, or conservation story with our community online. Whether you’re a writer, photographer, or just passionate about the cause, your voice can help spread the word.
Assist with Educational Programs
Support education workshops, nature walks, or school group visits by helping with logistics, materials, and guiding participants.
Provide Administrative or Tech Support
Offer behind-the-scenes help with email lists, databases, volunteer coordination, or website and social media updates.
Become an Intern
Support Conserve The Point through an internship designed around your educational program. You may be eligible for school credit. Interns can help with communications, community outreach, field work, or educational programs. You define the focus and hours based on your interests and availability. Note: All internships are unpaid at this time.
