2nd Annual Oyster Roast for the Coast

Join Conserve The Point-Topsail for the 2nd Annual Oyster Roast for the Coast, October 4, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Surf City Brewing Company in Hamstead. Special thanks to Surf City Brewing Company for hosting this event again!

Join your neighbors and friends as we celebrate the conservation of The Point, now known as the South Topsail Preserve, thanks to the NC Coastal Land Trust which purchased the property for conservation in April 2025. 

The celebration will feature oysters from local oyster companies, beer from Surf City Brewing Company, music by Doug McFarland, and photographs of Topsail Beach by award-winning photographer Gavin Stanton Shwala.

Learn more about North Carolina’s vibrant oyster heritage. The event will feature the traveling Oyster Photo Exhibit, a collaborative project of North Carolina Sea Grant and the NC Oyster Trail. This inspiring exhibit highlights the hardworking individuals behind North Carolina’s growing oyster industry and honors the ecological, cultural, and economic value of oysters to our coast. 

Tickets are $50.00. Proceeds benefit Conserve The Point-Topsail’s conservation and education programs to preserve The Point at Topsail Beach.
